These dark patterns are enough for a long time Apple customer like myself to deeply reconsider my support of the company and of Tim Cook for supporting this predatory set of tactics.

Ultimately the consumers end up paying the difference, if they can afford it - which if not, the firms offering their services just go away. It’s a lose / lose / lose for everyone.
